The Melbourne Speed Club Inc. (MSC) was formed in 1999 and was created as an avenue for interested skaters to take their InLine skating collectively to new levels through competition and training. MSC is a non-profit organisation and is a member of Skate Victoria (SV) and Skate Australia. MSC has a bayside focus with weekly training sessions and events held in the City of Port Phillip area.
MSC works closely with industry bodies, retail outlets, community organisations, media groups, product manufacturers, Australian elite skaters and coaches. The Club continually strives to review, develop and improve skating services and facilities for members and the greater community. MSC members actively participate in Public Fun Skates, Grand Prix Races, National competitions, and other related events throughout the year.
Our club philosophy is to enjoy our skating at all levels and to encourage new members to do the same. We recommend speed skating to anyone who presently skates and is looking for something a little more challenging. Members are expected to skate safely at all times and respect pedestrians, cyclists and other path users.
